TESTIMONIALS

What school leaders are saying

Dr. Kenneth R. Hamilton

Superintendent

Mt. Vernon City Schools

Mt. Vernon, NY

With so many competing priorities, it is imperative that new and evolving teachers get the support and guidance they need. Virtual coaching is one of the most innovative tools available in our field today. My staff loved the freedom and flexibility to have this virtual resource of well-trained, experienced professionals, to ask questions, pitch new ideas in a safe, non-evaluative format. I wholeheartedly give this resource my highest endorsement.

Dr. Sharon Nepote

Principal

Wagoner Elementary

Sauk Village, IL

Virtual coaching was a benefit to my staff. My staff reported that they found the conversations with the coaches rewarding, relevant to their current classroom, and individualized to meet their professional needs. My staff all reported that their craft was improved through the experience. I look forward to offering virtual coaching to my staff in the future.

Dr. Jennifer Camilleri

Principal

Strassburg Elementary

Sauk Village, IL

This is a wonderful service to be able to provide to new teachers or teachers that are need of some additional supports. Coaching meetings can be scheduled around the busy teacher schedule due to the virtual platform. The coaches are knowledgeable and teachers are paired with coaches based on a needs inventory that teachers fill out at the beginning of the program.

ESL & Bilingual Teacher

My coach has a lot of experience with English language learners. I was struggling with increasing the quality and quantity of the writing pieces of my students. My coach taught me about using familiar topics, front-loading vocabulary by creating word banks, and sentence frames together before writing begins. We also created a model writing together as a class. After the very first attempt of this strategy, my students’ writing began to improve a ton! Week after week they grew more and gained more confidence.

Cynthia Dabney

Middle School ELA Teacher

I worked with my coach specifically on classroom management. We were able to track positive responses to challenging behaviors. This greatly improved my relationship with students and parents. I definitely saw more improvement later on in the year.

Image

Joseph Petraitis

Middle School Art Teacher

The main reason for seeking support was for behavior management ideas. My coach was able to help me focus on student misbehavior and to hold students accountable. There is no substitute for a real-life, additional aide in your room, but it felt like I had another creative mind (although virtual) to bounce ideas off of to help my day-to-day teaching run more smoothly. I was able to organize my thoughts, reflect on the past week, and prepare for the next week with each weekly session.

Veronica Gerald

Founder & CEO

As an administrator, I loved what I did but was often frustrated. Competing responsibilities would often prevent me from giving staff the level of support they deserved. And, I know I wasn’t the only one experiencing this!!

Now in the midst of a global crisis that has arguably shifted our educational system moving forward, educators are juggling challenges none of us could imagine just a few short years ago. As much as we try, the focus on our students is often compromised, while staff shortages are raging across this country.

Education Leadership Services can help you support your staff in a targeted, authentic, and aligned way. We believe our support will help educators sustain through these new challenges, allow them to continue to thrive; and, therefore focus on increased student outcomes. Our on-demand, safe space, virtual partnership allows educators to remember why they chose this profession in the first place … and choose to stay, even though the uncertainty.

Our approach is virtual and customized to specific needs. We provide support for teachers, counselors, coaches, social workers, and school/district leaders. With virtual professional learning and partnerships, your staff and students will succeed.(*In-person trainings are now available again upon request.)

Veronica Gerald

Founder & CEO

Hello! I am Veronica Gerald, an accomplished instructional leader with a proven track record of positive results in increasing student achievement and creating positive school climates. I have over 25 years of experience as an instructional leader, dedicated to transforming underperforming schools into rigorous learning environments.

Throughout my career, I have led 3 different underperforming schools from chaotic school environments to structured, thriving schools with consistent academic growth . My efforts have not gone unrecognized, as I have consistently been described by peers and staff as an exemplary instructional leader, with exceptional academic achievements and knowledge.

I'm an ambitious leader who excels at executing plans and taking charge. I'm driven by a set of core values that guide my decisions and actions - integrity, honesty, authenticity, work ethic, empathy, support and peace (yes, peace!). My strengths lie in my ability to focus on the tasks at hand, adapt quickly, think strategically, and get results.

My current focus is on coaching school leaders to create safe spaces where they can strive towards getting consistent positive results - both big and small. As a part of this effort, we also provide engaging professional learning opportunities for teachers that arm participants with actionable strategies and implementation plans, as well as ongoing personalized support.

Fast forward to this "post- pandemic" recovery period, which has arguably shifted the normalcy of our education system, educators are juggling challenges none of us could imagine just a few years ago. As much as we try, the focus on our students is often compromised, while consistent challenges such as staff shortages, exhausted educators, and traumatized students and adults are increasing across the country.

Education Leadership Services can support educators by providing 1:1 or group targeted, timely, and aligned professional learning opportunities. Our support will help educators sustain through formidable challenges, allowing them to thrive; and focus on increasing student outcomes. This partnership offers on-demand, safe space, and virtual partnerships that allow educators to remember why they chose this profession in the first place. The win: quality educators choose to stay, even through the uncertainty and challenges.

We provide support for teachers, counselors, coaches, social workers, and school/district leaders.

With virtual professional learning and partnerships, your staff and students will succeed.
